Same year, I have been admitted to the National Trauma and Orthopaedic run through training with top marks. During my fellowships I have received extensive training in various conditions of the lower limb, focusing on osteoarthritis of the hip and knee, trauma, sports injuries and deformity correction.
I was then appointed as a consultant Lower limb surgeon at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Scotland for a year followed by appointment at North Cumbria University Hospitals in where I specialise in all aspect of knee surgery and general trauma including hip replacements for Neck of femur fractures. I focus on patients whose knee conditions are either degenerative such as arthritis offering knee replacement surgery including partial knee replacement or deformity correction for preservation of the native joint using either high tibial osteotomies or distal femoral osteotomies or both at the same time.
I also treat patients with sports injuries such as locked knees, ruptured ligaments offering meniscal repairs, and ligament reconstructions as required.
I have presented at national and international conferences and have published some of my work over the years. I am principal investigator on several research projects on various topics of cartilage regeneration.
I enjoy teaching and is a faculty for various courses for medical students and local orthopaedic trainees Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, travelling, and exploring new places and cultures. I am actively involved in research since my junior years. Currently I am chief investigator for a randomised controlled trial regarding meniscal repairs in presence of hyaluronic acid. I am a car enthusiast and i enjoy rebuilding old cars. In the recent years, i have enjoyed watching my son following his dream towards becoming a professional tennis player, still a junior player.
